The historical city center of Matera will be open for visits also to people with visual impairments.

Two tactile maps located on the opposite sides of the city center, right next to the Auditorium and Piazza Vittorio Veneto, will enable blind people to figure out the old urban matrix by highlighting  the most important spots such as: church of Purgatorio , church of Sant’Eligio, San Francesco square and church, the Conservatory, Piazza del Sedile, church Santa Lucia and also the main services like the elevator to ‘’i Sassi’’.
